Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is on a six-day working visit in Bali for a series of activities, including attending the annual Bali Democracy Forum (BDF).

The president, accompanied by Mrs Ani Yudhoyono, took off at Halim Perdana Kusuma airport here at 9.am Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Sunday.

On Monday, the president is scheduled to officiate a fish breeding center in Karang Asem district, while on Wednesday the head of state will attend the Bali Democracy Forum.

Initiated by Yudhoyono and held for the first time in Bali in December 2008, the forum will carry the theme: "Democracy for Peace and Stability and will last from December 8 to 10, 2010.

South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak will act as co-chairman of the forum which will also be attended by the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam and the Timor Leste President.

The Bali Democracy Forum which will be held for the third time is expected to issue a chairman statement which would serve as the guidelines for the implementation of its program in 2011. It will be carried out by the Institute for Peace and Democracy.

On the sidelines of the Bali Democracy Forum, President Yudhoyono is scheduled to have bilateral meetings with a number of heads of state, among others, of Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand.
