Create your Future Unlimited with your Study in Australia

Let's study in Australia
Create our own future unlimited with our study in Australia

Australian education goes mobile with its new official website
Indonesian students can research and plan their Australian education via mobile phone and tablet on the new Study in Australia website, Study in Australia , the official source of information on studying in Australia.

A mobile-friendly design makes it easy for students to browse courses and institutions on any handheld or desktop device, wherever they may be in the world.
Potential students can also interact via social media, access information about scholarships and read or watch the stories of other students from Singapore or elsewhere.
The new site updates and improves the previous Study in Australia website, featuring an enhanced search function and a log-in that allows users to bookmark information and favorites.
It also includes detailed information about Australia’s states and territories and updated content including news and event feeds, all in a selection of languages.

Australia’s Ambassador to Indonesia Greg Moriarty said the Study in Australia site was a reliable, comprehensive source of up-to-date information, with links to other education providers as well as details about living in Australia.

“An Australian education opens huge opportunities for graduates, enriching their personal and professional lives,” Mr Moriarty said.

“Australia has a fantastic range of internationally recognized institutions offering high quality courses across the education spectrum.

“Now Indonesian students can learn about them quickly and easily in a format that suits their lifestyle,” he said

The new site, produced and maintained by Austrade, the Australian Government’s trade, investment and education promotion agency, goes live this month.

In the coming months, additional functions will be added, including a personalized study guide.

The site is a practical, friendly and engaging resource for existing and prospective students, based on testing and research.

It is also designed to more effectively refer students to the websites of relevant institutions.

The Ambassador said Australia has had a long history of welcoming international students from all parts of the world.

“Indonesian students have plenty of choices: they can study at university, learn English, attend a Vocational Education and Training (VET) college or go to school,“ Mr Moriarty said.

“All the information you need to begin creating your own Future Unlimited is available on www.studyinaustralia.gov.au,” he said.

In December 2012 there were 17,514 Indonesian students enrolled in Australian educational institutions, according to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and trade.

In June 2011, the Australian Government announced a new brand – Future Unlimited – for promoting Australian education internationally.
The new brand recognizes the decision to invest in an international education is ultimately driven by the desire for a better future. The perceived return on investment in education – future income, life satisfaction, choice – is what matters most.
Future Unlimited repositions Australian education. It moves the conversation beyond lifestyle and affordability, and focuses on the outcomes of an Australian education. The new positioning highlights the global relevance, practicality and quality of our institutions, along with their innovation, creativity and focus on the future.
Future Unlimited reassures students, and their parents, that their investment in an Australian education will be returned in the form of better career and life opportunities; it implies global career options; and reflects the idea of pathways and internationally recognized qualifications and skills.
Future Unlimited promotes Australian education, whether delivered onshore or offshore, among prospective international students or other purchasers of education and training services.
Ultimately, the new brand says that an Australian education delivers a future unlimited.

10 reasons to study in Australia

Did you know Australia has the third highest number of international students in the world behind only the United Kingdom and the United States despite having a population of only 23 million? This isn’t surprising when you consider Australia has seven of the top 100 universities in the world! In fact, with over 22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions, Australia sits above the likes of Germany, the Netherlands and Japan, ranking eighth in the Universitas 2012 U21 Ranking of National Higher Education Systems.
These are strong academic credentials, but our institutions are just as highly rated as the cities that house them around the country. Australia has five of the 30 best cities in the world for students based on student mix, affordability, quality of life, and employer activity – all important elements for students when choosing the best study destination. And with more than A$200 million provided by the Australian Government each year in international scholarships, we’re making it easier for you to come and experience the difference an Australian education can make to your future career opportunities.

Do you have a specific study area of interest? There is every chance Australia has you covered, with at least one Australian university in the top 50 worldwide across the study areas of Natural Sciences & Mathematics, Life & Agricultural Sciences, Clinical Medicine & Pharmacy, and Physics.
Given this impressive education pedigree, it’s not surprising there are now more than 2.5 million former international students who have gone on to make a difference after studying in Australia. Some of these students are among the world’s finest minds. In fact, Australia has produced 15 Nobel prize laureates and every day over 1 billion people around the world rely on Australian discoveries and innovations – including penicillin, IVF, ultrasound, Wi-Fi, the Bionic Ear, cervical cancer vaccine and Black Box Flight Recorders – to make their lives, and the lives of others, better.
Why wouldn’t you want to study with some of the best minds in the world?

Transcript

>>Kym Hewitt: Most commentators believe that there is a significant gap between Australia’s positioning in the Indonesian market at present and the potential. So, at the moment Indonesia, the value of the market to Australia is about 6.6 billion dollars, it’s our 11th major export market, and for many that’s surprising given the scale of the market and its proximity to Australia. Certainly one of our priorities is to try to narrow that gap. By drawing the opportunities that increasingly the market offers in consumer and other spaces to Australian exporters and business.
In areas like consumer durables for example, Australia doesn’t have strength right across the supply chain, but we have pockets of deep expertise in various niches across that chain. And that’s a big opportunity for Australia in Indonesia.
The most significant trend in Indonesia at the moment is the dominance of the consumption sector as a driver of economic growth. So, consumption accounts for 60% of the economy, over 60% of growth and it reflects the passing through of this bulge of young, increasingly wealthy, young Indonesians.
The major opportunity for Australia in Indonesia is to connect to this sweet spot that I’ve just described, the consumption space. At the moment we tend to belong in things like food, mining equipment, technology and services, and they’re in a more difficult space that is exposed to government policy. The consumption space is where the real growth is happening, and that’s where the real opportunity is to connect regional value chains.
Indonesia is a country where the badge of government really counts for something. So it does open doors and provide vastly improved access to business and to government. So the service we provide of cultivating local networks, identifying opportunities, and then organizing visit and introductory programs for Australian business people really do contain a lot of value in the market setting.
