BHA Press Release: Bali Hotels Association Launched a Scholarship Paradigm Book

BHA scholarship scheme celebrates one decade of success

Denpasar, Bali, December 15—Bali Hotels Association’s Scholarship Program—which provides scholarships to 16 students every year to attend the county’s largest tourism institute—celebrated its 10th birthday in October. To mark the occasion, the association has launched a book entitled The First Decade of BHA Scholarship Program 2002-2012.
This book is a milestone for the program, and BHA hopes it will also encourage and motivate other sustainable initiatives. It will be distributed to various institutions such as the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and Bali-based embassies. It is also available for purchase at Rp 200,000 by companies or organizations that would like to learn about and implement similar schemes in their CSR programs.
“As hotel managers, this island has given a lot to us,” said Jean-Charles Le Coz, BHA chairman. “So our motivation it is not only giving back to the community, but also to support the development of local talent to work with us in the hospitality industry.”

The book was officially launched by Drs. I Nyoman Wardawan, representating the Bali Tourism Authority Office, accompanied by a representative of the Bali Regional Police Office, at Bali Hyatt, Sanur beach. BHA would also like to thank the sponsors of the book and its launch: Bali Hyatt, Conrad Bali, 101 Legian Hotel, TUV Rheinland, Bali Jet Set Dive & Marine Sports, Schneider Electric, Lotus Food Services, and PT. Golden Bird Bali.
