Acara Puncak hari Minggu ini, yang mengakhiri Oktaf Paskah dan yang Yohanes Paulus II ingin dedikasikan  bagi Kerahiman Ilahi, ialah  bilur bilur  Mulia  dari Tuhan Yesus yang telah bangkit.
 Tuhan sudah menunjukkan bilur bilur tersebut ketika Ia pertama kali menampakkan diri kepada para Rasul saat  larut malam hari setelah Hari Sabbath  itu, hari kebangkitan. Namun Thomas tidak berada di sana malam itu, dan ketika para rasul lain mengatakan kepadanya bahwa mereka telah melihat Tuhan, ia menjawab bahwa jika ia sendiri tidak melihat dan menyentuh bilur bilur itu, ia tidak akan percaya. Seminggu kemudian, Tuhan Yesus menampakkan diri sekali lagi kepada para muridnya yang sedang berkumpul di Ruang Atas,(Upper Room)  dan Thomas hadir saat itu ; Tuhan Yesus berpaling kepadanya dan menyuruhnya untuk menyentuh bilur bilurNya. Kemudian pria itu, yang begitu terus terang (blak-blakandan terbiasa menguji segala sesuatunya secara pribadi, berlutut di hadapan Tuhan Yesus seraya berkata : "Ya Tuhanku dan Allahku!" (Yohanes  20:28).

Bilur bilur Tuhan Yesus merupakan suatu kehebohan, suatu batu sandungan bagi iman, akan tetapi mereka juga merupakan suatu ujian bagi iman. Itulah sebabnya  di atas tubuh Kristus yang telah bangkit bilur bilur tersebut tak pernah hilang : tetap ada, karena bilur bilur tersebut merupakan tanda kasih Allah yang abadi bagi kita. Bilur bilur tersebut sangatlah penting untuk percaya pada Allah. Bukan hanya untuk percaya bahwa Allah itu ada, tetapi agar kita percaya bahwa Allah adalah kasih, kerahiman dan kesetiaan. Santo Petrus, mengutip Yesaya, saat menulis kepada para umat  Kristiani : "oleh bilur-bilur-Nya kamu telah sembuh" (1 Petrus 2:24, cf  Yes 53:5).
Santo Yohanes XXIII dan Santo Yohanes Paulus II tidak takut memandang bilur bilur TuhanYesus, menyentuh tangan-Nya yang terkoyak maupun lambung-Nya yang tertikam. Mereka tidak malu akan tubuh Kristus, mereka tidak dibuat terkejut  oleh-Nya, oleh salib-Nya; mereka tidak memandang rendah tubuh saudara mereka (bdk. Yes 58:7), karena mereka melihat Tuhan Yesus dalam setiap orang yang mengalami penderitaan dan perjuangan. Mereka inilah dua pria pemberani, yang dipenuhi dengan perkataan berani yang berasal dari Roh Kudus, dan mereka menjadi saksi di hadapan Gereja dan dunia bagi kebaikan dan kerahiman Allah.
Mereka merupakan  para imam,uskup dan Paus abad kedua puluh. Mereka hidup melewati berbagai peristiwa tragis pada abad itu, tetapi mereka tidak terpuruk dengan berbagai peristiwa tersebut. Bagi mereka, Allah lebih kuat; iman lebih kuat - iman kepada Tuhan Yesus Kristus Sang Penebus manusia dan Tuhan sejarah; kerahiman Allah, yang ditunjukkan oleh lima luka itu, lebih kuat; dan lebih kuat juga ialah kedekatan Maria Bunda kita.



Dalam kedua pria ini, yang memandang bilur bilur Kristus dan menjadi saksi kerahiman-Nya, di sana  ada harapan yang hidup dan sukacita yang mulia dan yang tidak terkatakan (1Petrus 1:3,8). Harapan dan sukacita yang dilimpahkan Kristus yang telah bangkit kepada murid-murid-Nya, harapan dan sukacita yang tak ada sesuatu  maupun seorang pun yang bisa mengambilnya dari  mereka. Harapan dan sukacita Paskah, yang ditempa dalam bentuk penyangkalan diri, pengosongan diri, menitahkan pengenalan bersama para orang berdosa, bahkan hingga titik kemuakkan pada kepahitan cawan itu. Demikianlah harapan dan sukacita yang telah diterima Kedua Sri Paus Suci ini sebagai sebuah karunia Tuhan yang telah  bangkit dan yang pada gilirannya mereka curahkan dalam kelimpahan atas Umat Allah, sehingga kita merasa pantas memiliki rasa syukur kita yang abadi
Harapan  dan sukacita ini dapat dirasakan dalam kalangan komunitaspara orang percaya  mula mula , di Yerusalem, seperti yang kita baca dalam Kisah Para Rasul (bdk. 2:42-47). Ini merupakan suatu komunitas yang menghayati ajaran inti Injil, kasih dan kerahiman, dalam kesederhanaan serta  persaudaraan.
Hal ini juga merupakan gambaran Gereja yang ditetapkan Konsili Vatikan II sebelum kita. Santo Yohanes XXIII dan Santo Yohanes Paulus II telah bekerja sama dengan Roh Kudus dalam memperbaharui  dan menyesuaikan  Gereja sesuai karateristik  aslinya, Karateristik itu yang telah diberikan para orang kudus kepada Gereja selama berabad-abad. Janganlah kita lupa bahwa para orang kudus tersebut yang memberikan arah dan pertumbuhan bagi Gereja. Dengan mengadakan  Konsili, Santo Yohanes XXIII menunjukkan sebuah keterbukaan yang sangat indah terhadap Roh Kudus. Beliau membiarkan dirinya dipimpin dan beliau bagi Gereja merupakan seorang gembala, seorang pemimpin-pelayan. Hal Ini merupakan pelayanannya yang agung bagi Gereja; beliau ialah Paus  yang terbuka dengan Roh Kudus.
Dalam pelayanan dirinya bagi Umat Allah, Santo Yohanes Paulus II merupakan  Paus keluarga. Beliau sendiri pernah mengatakan bahwa ia ingin dikenang sebagai Paus keluarga. Saya sangat senang menunjukkan hal ini ketika kita berada dalam proses perjalanan bersama keluarga-keluarga menuju Sinode tentang keluarga. Hal ini tentu sebuah perjalanan yang, dari tempatnya di surga, beliau membimbing dan menopang.
Semoga kedua Santo baru dan para gembala umat Allah ini bersyafaat bagi Gereja, sehingga selama dua tahun perjalanan menuju Sinode ini Gereja boleh terbuka terhadap Roh Kudus dalam pelayanan pastoral kepada keluarga. Semoga kiranya keduanya mengajarkan kita agar tidak dihebohkan dengan bilur bilur Kristus dan malah membuat kita masuk semakin dalam pada misteri kerahiman ilahi, yang senantiasa  berharap, dan  senantiasa mengampuni, karena hal tersebut selalu mengasihi

Second Sunday of Easter (Divine Mercy Sunday), 27 April 2014
At the heart of this Sunday, which concludes the Octave of Easter and which John Paul II wished to dedicate to Divine Mercy, are the glorious wounds of the risen Jesus.

He had already shown those wounds when he first appeared to the Apostles on the very evening of that day following the Sabbath, the day of the resurrection.  But Thomas was not there that evening, and when the others told him that they had seen the Lord, he replied that unless he himself saw and touched those wounds, he would not believe.  A week later, Jesus appeared once more to the disciples gathered in the Upper Room, and Thomas was present; Jesus turned to him and told him to touch his wounds.  Whereupon that man, so straightforward and accustomed to testing everything personally, knelt before Jesus with the words: “My Lord and my God!” (Jn 20:28).

The wounds of Jesus are a scandal, a stumbling block for faith, yet they are also the test of faith.  That is why on the body of the risen Christ the wounds never pass away: they remain, for those wounds are the enduring sign of God’s love for us.  They are essential for believing in God.  Not for believing that God exists, but for believing that God is love, mercy and faithfulness.  Saint Peter, quoting Isaiah, writes to Christians: “by his wounds you have been healed” (1 Pet 2:24, cf. Is 53:5).

John XXIII and John Paul II were not afraid to look upon the wounds of Jesus, to touch his torn hands and his pierced side.  They were not ashamed of the flesh of Christ, they were not scandalized by him, by his cross; they did not despise the flesh of their brother (cf. Is 58:7), because they saw Jesus in every person who suffers and struggles.  These were two men of courage, filled with the parrhesia of the Holy Spirit, and they bore witness before the Church and the world to God’s goodness and mercy.

They were priests, bishops and popes of the twentieth century.  They lived through the tragic events of that century, but they were not overwhelmed by them.  For them, God was more powerful; faith was more powerful – faith in Jesus Christ the Redeemer of man and the Lord of history; the mercy of God, shown by those five wounds, was more powerful; and more powerful too was the closeness of Mary our Mother.

In these two men, who looked upon the wounds of Christ and bore witness to his mercy, there dwelt a living hope and an indescribable and glorious joy (1 Pet 1:3,8).  The hope and the joy which the risen Christ bestows on his disciples, the hope and the joy which nothing and no one can take from them.  The hope and joy of Easter, forged in the crucible of self-denial, self-emptying, utter identification with sinners, even to the point of disgust at the bitterness of that chalice.  Such were the hope and the joy which these two holy popes had received as a gift from the risen Lord and which they in turn bestowed in abundance upon the People of God, meriting our eternal gratitude.

This hope and this joy were palpable in the earliest community of believers, in Jerusalem, as we read in the Acts of the Apostles (cf. 2:42-47).  It was a community which lived the heart of the Gospel, love and mercy, in simplicity and fraternity.

This is also the image of the Church which the Second Vatican Council set before us.  John XXIII and John Paul II cooperated with the Holy Spirit in renewing and updating the Church in keeping with her pristine features, those features which the saints have given her throughout the centuries.  Let us not forget that it is the saints who give direction and growth to the Church.  In convening the Council, John XXIII showed an exquisite openness to the Holy Spirit.  He let himself be led and he was for the Church a pastor, a servant-leader.  This was his great service to the Church; he was the pope of openness to the Spirit.

In his own service to the People of God, John Paul II was the pope of the family.  He himself once said that he wanted to be remembered as the pope of the family.  I am particularly happy to point this out as we are in the process of journeying with families towards the Synod on the family. It is surely a journey which, from his place in heaven, he guides and sustains.

May these two new saints and shepherds of God’s people intercede for the Church, so that during this two-year journey toward the Synod she may be open to the Holy Spirit in pastoral service to the family.  May both of them teach us not to be scandalized by the wounds of Christ and to enter ever more deeply into the mystery of divine mercy, which always hopes and always forgives, because it always loves.

"Eternal Father, I offer to you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, for our sins and those of the whole world; by the sufferings of his Passion, have mercy upon us and upon the whole world" (Diary, 476). Upon us and upon the whole world ... How greatly today’s world needs God’s mercy! In every continent, from the depth of human suffering, a cry for mercy seems to rise up. Where hatred and the thirst for revenge dominate, where war brings suffering and death to the innocent, there the grace of mercy is needed in order to settle human minds and hearts and to bring about peace. Wherever respect for life and human dignity are lacking, there is need of God’s merciful love, in whose light we see the inexpressible value of every human being. Mercy is needed in order to ensure that every injustice in the world will come to an end in the splendor of truth.

Di mana tidak ada lagi rasa hormat terhadap harkat dan martabat manusia, di sana cinta Allah yang berbelas kasih dibutuhkan; dalam terang-Nya kita melihat nilai setiap pribadi manusia yang mudah terpengaruh. Belas kasih dibutuhkan guna menjamin bahwa setiap ketidakadilan di dunia akan berakhir dalam terang kebenaran.

Pope Francis proclaimed sainthood Sunday for a pair of former pontiffs, John Paul II and John XXIII, thrilling multitudes who gathered in St. Peter’s Square and nearby to witness the unprecedented double canonization.
It marked the first time in the church’s more than 2,000-year history that two former popes had been canonized on the same day on April 27, 2014 
at St. Peter's Square, The Holy See

Prayer to St. John Paul II

Oh, St. John Paul, from the window of heaven, grant us your blessing! Bless the church that you loved and served and guided, courageously leading it along the paths of the world in order to bring Jesus to everyone and everyone to Jesus. Bless the young, who were your great passion. Help them dream again, help them look up high again to find the light that illuminates the paths of life here on earth. May you bless families, bless each family! You warned of Satan’s assault against this precious and indispensable divine spark that God lit on earth. St. John Paul, with your prayer, may you protect the family and every life that blossoms from the family.
Pray for the whole world, which is still marked by tensions, wars and injustice. You tackled war by invoking dialogue and planting the seeds of love: pray for us so that we may be tireless sowers of peace.
Oh St. John Paul, from heaven’s window, where we see you next to Mary, send God’s blessing down upon us all. Amen..


Prayer to St. John XXIII
Dear Pope John,
Your simplicity and meekness carried the scent of God and sparked in people’s hearts the desire for goodness. You spoke often of the beauty of the family gathered around the table to share bread and faith: pray for us that once again true families would live in our homes.
With outstretched hands you sowed hope, and you taught us to listen for God’s footsteps as he prepares a new humanity: help us have a healthy optimism of defeating evil with good.
You loved the world with its light and darkness, and you believed that peace is possible: help us be instruments of peace at home and in our communities.
With paternal gentleness you gave all children a caress: you moved the world and reminded us that hands have been given to us not for striking, but for embracing and drying tears.
Pray for us so that we do not limit ourselves to cursing the darkness but that we bring the light, bringing Jesus everywhere and always praying to Mary. Amen.

There is so much love here. Love is within every fiber of my being.
I send it out to others regardless of how they have treated me or
regardless of whether or not I know them. I believe in love and its
power to heal, to comfort, and to experience joy.

There is so much love here. I celebrate the pain, the suffering, the
process, the transformation, the healing, the truth, and the light.
My heart opens like a lotus blossom after it has risen from the muddy
waters where its seed was planted and nurtured into a wondrous
miracle...a testament to the power of love.

No matter what the circumstances as long as there is love as its

As we often remind ourselves, what is presented by mainstream information sources is often a narrow and negative perspective of what is happening upon this planet right now. To the contrary, we see and know that good and right is occurring everywhere. Look for love and you will see it all around you.

This simple reminder changes the very nature of our experience. We are what we place our attention upon. When we allow love to be our focus of life, we expand this in our everyday activities. It is as simple as changing each perspective and allowing the negative and limiting views to be released and replaced by a higher, more loving understanding.

We appreciate and are grateful for the courage each of you express. In a world that has historically revered the negative and fear-based aspects, it takes strength to be and share love. It is time for love to become our common vision.

Please join us. Be a part of this global day by choosing love, compassion, peace, and unity. Share this information with your friends, relatives and coworkers. Love locally and spread it globally.

Every Nation has a Heart

We are delighted to announce the launch of a heart-based social participation movement that acknowledges and encourages the goodness that surrounds us each and every day. Entitled All Nations Love, this new project is our collective opportunity to collaborate locally and inspire and highlight the kindness, caring, dignity, honesty and integrity that is the natural and greater part of our daily experience. Simply stated, “Every nation has a heart; it is time to let yours shine.” TLF is also initiating America Loves as a model for other nations.

Empowering Bali Community Based Tourism



Empowering Communities In Bali and all over Indonesia

Bali Community Based Tourism Association (Bali CoBTA) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that promotes sustainable tourism. By facilitating the development of community based tourism villages, tourists are given a unique opportunity to experience local culture and community life, while communities are empowered to earn an additional income by preserving and showcasing their culture and heritage.
This network will then allow the exchange of experiences and information, as well as provide options for tourists

 At the Bali CoBTA we strive to build stronger communities through sustainable tourism
 

 This inauguration is officially signified by the signing of inscription by Tabanan Regent, accompanied by the Head of Department of Culture and Tourism of Tabanan – Mr. Wayan Adnyana and the Chairman of Bali CoBTA – Mr. Djinaldi Gosana.

The Creative Economic and Tourism Ministry plans to develop 561 tourism villages in several provinces in Indonesia during 2014.

According to the People Empowerment Director in the Ministry, Oneng Setya Harini, the first phase of creating the village will be conducted in 19 provinces.

"We will improve the tourism services offered by the area's residents and carry out several training sessions," Oneng said here on Saturday.

 Bali’s local government will set aside an annual budget of Rp 7.5 billion for the development of tourism villages on the island.


“We are targeting to set up 100 tourism villages, with development taking place from 2015 until 2018. We’ve proposed Rp 300 million for each village and there are approximately 25 villages being funded every year. The fund derives from the Bali regional budget,” head of Bali Provincial Department of Tourism, Ida Bagus Kade Subhiksu, was quoted by Antara as saying.

To realize the plan, Subhiksu has coordinated with local regencies for their support as well as their assistance in selecting the villages.

The plan is a follow up on the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry program to develop over 500 tourism villages across Indonesia in 2014. The project is aimed at helping tourists discover various cultures that Indonesia has to offer.

After being proclaimed in 2004, Pinge Tourism Village that is located in Banjar Dinas Pinge, Baru Village, Marga, on Wednesday Jan 30th, 2013 was finally officially launched and inaugurated by Tabanan Regent-Mrs. Ni Putu Eka Wiryastuti. The village offers some interesting tourist destinations such as the archeological heritage site “Pura Natar Jemeng”, it is a temple which originates from the 14th century and is one of the Dang Khayangan temples in Bali said to be used as a meditation place by Ida Dang Acaria.

Trekking at Pacung area will offers you an interesting and memorable view over mount Batu Karu. Pinge Tourism Village that is managed by Pinge Tourism Village Board offered trekking activities, traversing Pacung and Blaluan rice field, homestay rooms, Bumbung Gebyog and Leko traditional Balinese dance. Head of custom (Bendesa Adat) Pinge who is also the chairman of Pinge Tourism Village Board said that sustainability of community based tourism village could be well-maintained by local culture which is based on Tri Hita Karana. He added that Pinge Tourism Village missions are to increase community awareness about the value of their culture, to preserve eco-tourism and community empowerment.

This village provides 27 home-stay rooms to accommodate tourists. The number of tourists visiting the village in 2010 was 1,041 people and rose up to 1,408 people in 2011 and 146 people of them stayed overnight. In 2012, it was recorded that 749 tourists came to explore the village and out of those visitors, 187 guests checked in and stayed overnight.

The chairman of Bali Community Based Tourism Association (Bali CoBTA) who concurrently also serves as the Executive Director of Indonesia Tourism Promotion Board-Mr. Djinaldi Gosana said that Pinge Tourism Village is expected to bring forth benefits for local community without destructing the environment.

The Head of Tourism Authority of Bali Province in his remarks which were read by Head of Assessment and Development-Mr. Ketut Astra stated that Bali’s economic growth is based on 3 sectors, which include agriculture, tourism, and micro and medium enterprises and tourism is the main sector.
