BALI HOTELS ASSOCIATION RAISES FUNDS
FOR MOUNT MERAPI VOLCANIC DISASTER
Bali, December 3, 2010
Bali Hotels Association (BHA), together with the Rotaract Club of Nusa Dua,
successfully organized a charity event on Monday November 29 to raise funds
for the victims of the recent MountMerapieruption in Indonesia.
BHA member hotels, among them Harris Resort Kuta, All Seasons Legian Hotel,
and Intercontinental Bali Resort, donated 37 boxes containing T-shirts, trousers,
shorts, bed sheets, towels, and pillows. These boxes were sent to Yogyakarta
and distributed to refugees by the Rotary Club Yogyakarta.
“We are thrilled that we raised such a significant quantity of items
and I would like to thank all those who contributed,”
said Jean-Charles Le Coz, chairman of BHA.
”We are thankful that until now Baliremains safe from disaster and
for sure we will strive to support to our neighboring islands," he continued.
